I'm Fine If They Purge Everyone Over 45

Someone in this county clerk's office has been purging people over 80 from the jury pool list. That's apparently not legal, and may jeopardize the legitimacy of trials as a violation of the principle of "jury of one's peers." But if you're on trial, do you want the elderly on the panel?
