College Students Will Drink Anything
-
Now that nine Central Washington University students have been hospitalized after drinking Four Loko, that alcoholic energy drink, the Washington State Attorney General wants it banned. The problem is that the sweetness masks the alcohol content, or so the folks who want it banned say. But since everyone of the affected age group knows exactly what it is -- they call it "blackout in a can" and they like it precisely BECAUSE it'll get you drunk fast -- how is it different from any other alcohol? If they can't get Four Loko, they'll go back to vodka and Red Bull, or any other combination. This is far from new. (Seattle Times)
