A councilman in San Jose has been accused of stealing campaign signs for a ballot measure. He says he was removing signs that were illegally posted in a public place. And, well, who knows who's telling the truth here? But that's less of a topic than the general annoyance over political signs during a campaign. It's extremely annoying when someone not only puts them on public property but blocks sidewalks and road signs with them. In that case, you're justified in removing them. And shredding them, too.
