No, 'I Was A Washington National, Haven't I Suffered Enough?' Isn't A Good Excuse
-
Remember former Tampa Bay Ray and Washington National Elijah Dukes, who had his share of serious off-field trouble? He's out of baseball and back in the news for not paying child support. He's full of excuses and tears but still hasn't paid, so he's in jail. The latest excuse is that he's out of money and only had a little that he "lent to a friend" whose last name and location he doesn't know, and that friend didn't pay him back. He says he's homeless, crashing in friends' homes. This is less than a year after being in the major leagues. Where did all the money go? What does someone like this end up doing?
