Apparently, 'Moral Turpitude' Means Something Different There
-
This elementary school teacher was charged with trying to poison her husband after a fight, pouring a bottle of Ambien pills into his drink. She plea bargained the felony down to two misdemeanors. The school district let her keep her job. Since the teacher hadn't been charged with a formal "crime of moral turpitude," the school board had the discretion to keep her working, and that's what happened. Needless to say, parents are asking some questions. What do you have to do to get thrown out of a teaching job? (WSB-TV/Atlanta)
