Yes, Dodger Fans Leave In The 7th Inning. And You?
-
Okay, so the New York Jets won in an incredible last-minute comeback with no time outs left, but that's not my topic for the game. Mine is this: After Sanchez threw his interception, with the Texans getting the ball back with a one point lead, there were a ton of empty seats as fans headed to their cars to beat the traffic. But there was, as the final score will indicate, still enough time left for a comeback. It was like the famous Kirk Gibson homer, with the red brake lights of Dodger fans beating the traffic visible from the stands. How many of those people will claim to have seen the Jets comeback, when they were in their cars waiting to get onto Route 3 or Paterson Plank Road listening to 1050 ESPN instead of in their seats? The topic's simple: Do you stay for the whole game, even if you know traffic will be a bear? Is it ever okay to leave early? For a blowout? For a meaningless game? (New York Daily News)
