Says On Your Resume That You Were President And Won An Oscar. You're Hired
-
The Monterey Institute of International Studies, a respected graduate school, had no questions about one professor's resume when they hired him. His stories about being a colonel in the Special Forces and battling terrorism and human trafficking raised no suspicion with the administrators. Neither did his claim that the movie "Taken" was based on his story. It took the students, who just didn't buy his stories, to do the research and expose him. How did he get away with it for years, and why didn't the school check his stories out first? Do they just take everything at face value? (Los Angeles Times)
