Consumer Reports wants you to know that Thanksgiving dinner can kill you, not just from all the calories but because your body can react to all the carbs, fat, and salt by having a heart attack. The meal can increase blood to the intestines to aid digestion, but the heart and brain end up deprived. Plus, insulin increases, triglyceride levels elevate, blood pressure can cause inflamed patches to burst, gastric acid... oh, hell, just eat a salad. (Washington Post)
