Considering How People Drive, I'd Wear A Helmet
-
Michigan has had a motorcycle helmet law for 42 years. Riders are hopeful that the state will finally allow helmet-free riding, with one bill allowing it as long as the rider carries $20,000 in personal injury insurance, and the other allowing it as long as the rider's taken a safety course. The usual debate points apply: personal freedom and assumption of risk versus the cost to everyone else when you crack your head on the asphalt.
