It's not really a surprise that the Ninth Circuit upheld a judge's ruling invalidating parts of Arizona's SB 1070 immigration law. They would have had to rule that the judge abused her discretion in invalidating the law, and that wasn't ever likely to happen. So it didn't. We're still talking about this, aren't we? Because I was hoping we'd move forward with this discussion by now. (Los Angeles Times)
