Schools Weren't Prepared For Social Media, Were They?
-
A school principal is teaching 17 students a lesson by suspending them for posting pictures of themselves on Facebook. The violation was that the students (15 girls, 2 boys) had skipped a class project, went to a bathroom, and took "fashion" pictures of themselves for their Facebook pages instead. But the school's point is that posting pictures makes the kids susceptible to Internet predators. Also, they weren't supposed to have cell phones in class. So if they did it at home, the school wouldn't have done anything? (WCAU-TV/Philadelphia)
