Like Watching A Prison Game, Complete With Prisoners

All the reports of the heavy security at Dodger games in the wake of the parking lot beating reminded me that in other countries, this is old hat. A friend of mine went to a Tottenham Hotspur match in London last week and described what they do: Season tickets are like scannable credit cards, visiting fans (including anyone in another team's jersey) have to enter and exit through a separate gate and sit in a special section cordoned off from the home fans... it's like a police state. Is that what we need now? (Los Angeles Times)
