At Least They Win In Court

On the back of your ticket, or in the fine print on tickets you print out, baseball teams tell you that you're assuming the risk of getting hit by a ball or bat or projectile. This guy got hit in the face by a broken bat, and he sued the Mets, Luis Castillo (the batter), and Ramon Castro (who lent Castillo the bat), and claimed that the Mets had a duty to put up netting to protect fans over by the dugouts. And the judge threw out the case, because, well, you go to a baseball game and sit down in the box seats, that kind of stuff happens. (New York Daily News)
