The defendant being hauled up in front of this judge looked familiar. Very familiar. And no wonder: The man, accused of holding up a CVS with bandages obscuring his face, happened to be the courthouse shoeshine man. And the judge was a regular customer. I'm not sure if that's a good or bad thing. On the one hand, he knows the guy, so maybe he'll go easy. On the other hand, that's one customer lost. (South Florida Sun-Sentinel)
