In this market, this is a miracle: Remember that house in Huntington Beach I told you about ages ago, the one where the departing owner, facing foreclosure, trashed the place so badly it was said to be unfixable and a tear-down? The one where concrete was poured in the drains, the floor buckled and collapsed under the weight of trash piled there, and much more? That place, in a neighborhood of $1.5 million homes, sold for... $1.3 million. That's $200,000 MORE than the asking price. Yes, they got a very good price. If that place can sell for that much, there's hope for everyone. (Orange County Register)
