A court case in Ontario involves a woman who, being booked for a DUI, was required to remove her underwire bra because the cops said it could be used to hide weapons or drugs, and the wire could be used as a weapon or a way to hang one's self. (She was not asked to remove her shirt in the cops' presence, though) She's suing, because she felt "ashamed." But in an arrest situation, don't the police have an argument that they have to be certain you're not hiding anything? Is that an illegal search? (Toronto Star)
