If You Fight Something For 40 Years And Still Haven't Won, How's That Not A Failure?
-
A Global Commission on Drug Policy issued its report on the war against drugs, and the conclusion is that the "war" has been a failure. And, predictably, the Obama administration, like every administration before it, is on the defensive, claiming that, no, the "war" has been a success, reducing drug use. But the "war" did not reduce drug use, society and education have. The war only spends money and lives shutting down pipelines that are quickly replaced. And there are a lot of politically-connected people who make a lot of money from the government's commitment to the "war." (USA Today)
