Stick To Cash. Or Just Don't Buy Anything
-
You see those new credit and debit cards where you just tap the card against the terminal or wave it nearby and you've paid. And you know they're introducing similar technology to pay by cell phone. But is it safe? Consumer Reports tested the system, and they found that all anyone has to do is to hide a gizmo in their pocket or purse and bump into you and presto -- your information's stolen. This doesn't seem all that secure to me, but what do I know? And in case you think, well, I just won't participate, some banks are converting all of their cards into these things, so... good luck.
