Returns Welcome! Not So Fast, Lady
-
How can a store ban a customer from returning anything? That's what Toys R Us allegedly did to a woman who'd bought over $4,000 of goods there and, when she went to return an item, discovered that they'd banned her. Why? Too many returns. But the store policy doesn't say there's a limit, and if you bring a receipt and the packaging's intact, there's no reason to ban anyone. The store admitted that its employees were wrong. Surely, some people abuse the return privilege, but if the items are unused and packaged and have a receipt, there's no reason not to take the item back. (WABC-TV (ABC7)/Los Angeles)
