Not Hearing Any Complaints From The Public
-
Sometimes, you have to be skeptical of stories you see in the paper. Take this one, in which a woman riding a bike in New York says she was pulled over because her outfit was too sexy. The cops note that she didn't get the officer's name, and, frankly, her outfit, seen in a picture with the article, isn't all that sexy unless the short skirt exposed a lack of underwear. On the other hand, cops DID talk to, but not ticket, the woman strolling up the sidewalk in the Bowery who was topless. It's not illegal in New York for a woman to go topless in public. Unfortunately, I did not see any toplessness while I was there last week, not even on the hottest of days. (New York Daily News; New York Post)
