A woman's father died and was cremated, and she took the ashes and was about to scatter them when she discovered that the ashes included ballpoint-pen springs, glass shards, metal staples and a half-melted crucifix not belonging to her father. The crematorium said that all that was probably in his pockets, but she's not buying that. I'm sure some mortuaries figure, hey, ashes are ashes, who's gonna know? (New York Post)
