It Would Be Bigger News If The Marlins Had More Than 5,000 Fans
-
Edwin Rodriguez didn't last a year as manager of the Florida Marlins; he's resigned amidst calls for his firing. Maybe nobody expected them to beat out the Phillies, but they were supposed to be challenging for the Wild Card, and they've fallen hard. The team got off to a decent start and then just collapsed, falling 12 games out. The Fish want a big-name manager next year anyway, as they become the Miami Marlins and move into the new ballpark on the Orange Bowl site, so this isn't a shock, but it IS a shock they've become this weak.
