A British surgeon made a minor error that apparently led a terminal patient to experience additional discomfort before dying. The surgeon couldn't let the guilt go, which may have led to the doctor hanging himself. There's a difference, of course, between a doctor's job and most others -- doctors really do hold the power of life or death in their hands -- but do you know people who take their jobs that seriously? Maybe not to the extent of being suicidal over mistakes, but intense about it nonetheless? (Daily Telegraph)
