You can't do too much due diligence on charities before donating, something illustrated by this allegedly bogus breast cancer charity that raised over $9 million in five years but allegedly used the money to buy homes and personal stuff, plus huge salaries, for the people running it. Allegedly. As someone for whom the breast cancer fight is personal, and who raises funds for a (legit) charity, stuff like this gets me angry. Fraud is bad, but fraud capitalizing on people's desire to do good is maddening. (Fox News)
