'Share The Road' Doesn't Mean Sideswipe Runners At 30 mph
-
Cyclists in Central Park are supposed to stay on the main roads, where there are bike lanes. Now, they've gained the right to share pedestrian paths so they can have the same shortcuts across the park as the walkers and runners, but they're supposed to go slow. They won't, though. They rarely do. Bicyclists treat pedestrians and runners as obstacles to be blown out of the way. This won't go well. (New York Times)
