Warp Your Kids In Kevlar At All Times And You Don't Have This Problem
-
A woman is suing a Little League and its officers and a coach because her son was hit in the head by a baseball during a practice while doing a base-running drill. He wasn't wearing a helmet at the time. Here's the thing: It's obvious that the runner should be wearing a helmet. It's the rule from youth leagues all the way to the major league level. But with everything going on during a practice, can you assume the coaches will even notice? Who should be responsible for making sure a kid's wearing a helmet during a drill? Can you assume some volunteer guys will see everything? (Salem News; Thanks to Jeff Katz at WXKS (Talk 1200)/Boston for the link)
