America's Got... A Guy Who Allegedly Did That, Too
-
Piers Morgan says he did not get involved in phone hacking when he was editor of the Mirror, but the Daily Telegraph says there's tape of him basically admitting he published stories based on tapped phone messages. He admitted it two years ago on, of all places, the BBC's "Desert Island Discs," when he talked about how, despite his distaste for it, he published stories based on the unsavory practices of "third parties." So those assuming Murdoch was alone are deluding themselves. In Britain, at least, that's how it was done. (He denies it now, but, remember, he was fired from the Mirror for printing doctored photographs purporting to show British soldiers torturing Iraqis) (Daily Telegraph)
