The Los Angeles City Council unanimously approved a new NFL stadium, and they insist that this won't cost taxpayers a dime. The stadium will be built by AEG. The replacement for the part of the Convention Center they'll be tearing down? $275 million in bonds. Who'll pay that off? Oh, they'll do it by taxes and lease revenue. How long before that isn't enough and taxpayers are on the hook for the difference? We'll see. (Los Angeles Times)
