His Leg Was Crushed So You Could Have Your Mountain Dew
-
In the opening credits of that documentary television series "Laverne and Shirley," the titular individuals are shown working on a conveyor belt at the Shotz brewery in Milwaukee, putting a glove on a bottle and watching it ride the belt while dreaming of a better life. In real life, a guy at the Pepsi plant in Tampa got caught on the conveyer belt, resulting in a crushed leg. It was the third major casualty at the plant in less than six months. Perhaps he should hire the law firm of Hassenpfeffer, Inc. to represent him. (rimshot) If you've ever worked in a blue-collar factory job, did it ever cross your mind how dangerous it was? What's the most dangerous job you've had? (St. Petersburg Times)
