A company is being sued because it fired a 600-pound worker for inability to do his job, but didn't offer him an alternative position that he COULD do. Question: Should being morbidly obese be a "disability" under the law? What if it's due to something beyond the person's control, like a thyroid condition or disease? Or genetic? Or what if it's just due to overeating and a lack of exercise? (Houston Chronicle)
