The Polar Opposite Of That Show About The Cop Who Can't Forget Anything
-
Scott Bolzan played for the Cleveland Browns in the 80s, but he doesn't remember that. He doesn't remember anything. And that, you might be surprised to learn, is NOT because he took too many head shots while a player. It's because he took a fall in the bathroom, hit his head, and now has permanent amnesia. He damaged the part of the brain that holds long-term memory. And that means he doesn't remember anything about his past, including his wife and kids. But his wife helps him by telling him everything he needs to "remember," and they've written a book about how they cope. It's impossible to imagine what it would be like to have your memory just wiped out like that. (WEWS-TV/Cleveland)
