Sorry, I Can't Watch. Turns Out I Have A Life
-
We already know that Saturday nights went from being possibly the most important night of television during the week to a complete afterthought, a night where networks burn off reruns and episodes of shows that failed earlier in the season. But now Saturdays have company: Friday nights are also a wasteland for television. It hasn't gotten to the point where all the shows are reruns yet, but yes there aren't any success stories to talk about other than a few CBS dramas on that night, that'll make two out of seven nights a week that the networks have conceded to changing times. The young audience just isn't watching network television on Friday and Saturday nights. (New York Times)
