Life Or Death? I'll Be The Judge Of That, I'm A Cop With A Badge And Everything
-
The police in Roswell, Georgia are coming to the defense of a fellow officer who they said was just following procedure when he ticketed a speeding driver who was rushing his cancer stricken wife to the hospital after she suffered chest pains. I would agree with that if the cop didn't respond to the man's explanation by demanding proof. He could just as easily have escorted them to the hospital, where he would get all the proof he needed. If they didn't want to go to the hospital, or didn't want to check into the hospital, he could write them a ticket on the spot. But it just seems like he could've figured these things out before writing the ticket and holding things up. (WSB–TV/Atlanta)
