Try To Smile, We're On Camera

The groom wasn't happy with the wedding photographs. The photographers missed the last dance and the bouquet toss. He's decided to sue. But the demand he's making are what makes this story interesting: he not only wants to be repaid for the photos, he wants $40,000 to re-create the entire wedding so that it could be shot by another photographer. That's extreme enough, but it gets worse: it's been 6 years since the original wedding. The couple divorced, and the bride is believed to have moved back to Latvia. He wants the money to fly everybody back to New York and redo the whole thing. The judge is allowing the suit to proceed on a breach of contract basis, but even she is laughing at the remedy the plaintiff proposes. Would you even want to re-create your wedding?
