First, it was a TV anchor who blurted it out. Now, a second-grade teacher is being vilified and forced to apologize for telling kids that there is no Santa Claus. But... should someone have to apologize for telling kids (whispers)the truth(shhh)? Is it a teacher's job or a parent's job to break that news to kids? And what if a kid asks the teacher if Santa's real -- should the teacher, you know, lie? People get really worked up over this, but I wonder whether it really hurts a kid to know that those presents come from their hard-working, loving parents instead of a fictional figure.
