I would expect this to be the case, but a study proves it: People, it says, are less likely to lie about big things on their LinkedIn resumes. The employment information on LinkedIn resumes is generally more accurate than on their regular resumes, and that's likely because it's too easy to quickly verify or disprove everything on the online version. But people do lie about their hobbies and interests. Why they'd lie about hobbies, I don't know. (USA Today)
