When The 'Hydration Station' Offers Cherry Pepsi, We'll Talk
-
Emerson College has joined the parade of schools "phasing out bottled water." This is a trend we've previously reported; they tell people to carry reusable bottles and offer "hydration stations" to fill the bottles (these were once called "water fountains" before they got P.R. representation). You know, I did the whole no-bottled-water thing; we got a Brita pitcher, and we use it. And use it. And use it, and it's such a pain in the ass that, on occasion, we -- I'm admitting something here -- buy a case of bottled water at Costco, just to take a break from constantly filling it up and running out of cold water because you just filled the pitcher from the tap. I AM SO ASHAMED. Not really. (WFXT-TV/Boston)
