Pay Them. Problem Solved
-
Kansas State probably would have lost to Syracuse in the NCAAs anyway, but it didn't help that senior Jamar Samuels was ineligible for the game after it was discovered that he'd received $200 from a former coach with an AAU basketball program. The former coach says he only sent the kid money because the kid said he needed money to eat. That may or may not be true, but it's another example of how ridiculous the NCAA system is: The schools are making millions of dollars from these "student-athletes," yet by not sharing the money with the performers, it invites behavior that's against the rules.
