The Price Went Up Between When You Got Off The Road And You Got To The Pump
-
You're driving on the freeway and you see a big sign showing gas at $2.50 per gallon. You pull off and go to the station. The gas is actually $3.87. The sign, the station says, is broken. Should they honor the price on the sign? Customers at one Florida Sunoco thought so, and called the cops. Magically, when the cops showed up, the station turned the sign off and the prices went blank. Why didn't they turn the sign off the moment they knew the price was wrong? Why did it take the cops showing up for the sign to be turned off? You can provide your own answers. (Fort Myers News-Press; Thanks to Dave Elliott at WGUF/Naples-Ft. Myers for the link)
