Because Nobody Drives In L.A., Right?

How traffic disasters happen: The developers of the new football stadium proposed for downtown Los Angeles are assuming in their reports that 25% of fans will take public transportation to games on weekdays. This is in a city that doesn't have public transportation that takes most people from where they are to where they want to go. In other words, no way in Hell. And if they build this thing with inadequate parking, which is likely, considering that it will be built on the site of some of the parking presently used for Staples Center and the Convention Center, game days will be a nightmare.
