All Things Considered, They'd Prefer To Forget The Motor City
-
The folks in Windsor, Ontario have a complaint: They hear a loud hum, they think it's coming from Detroit across the river, and it's driving them crazy, making pets go wild and making sleep rough. But the folks on the U.S. side say they can't hear a thing. Canadian officials think the Americans are up to something and willfully ignoring the problem. But if they go to the U.S. side and can't hear it, how do they know WHERE it's coming from? (I've written before about the hum that a lot of people hear across the continent, and how I hear it, too -- still have NO idea where that's coming from) (Wall Street Journal)
