I think that maybe people should be reconsidering whether higher education is worth the cost, since they keep saying how the current generations of youth are being hobbled by student loan debt. The crime is how some schools push kids to go even if they can't afford it, saddling them with loans they won't be able to pay unless they get spectacularly high-paying jobs right out of the box. But with costs out of control and schools unwilling to look at how to bring those costs down, you have to ask whether it would be better to go to a cheaper in-state school or to skip it altogether.
