Now We Know What They Find Offensive
-
A woman in Memphis posted photos of her son on Facebook. The problem, at least according to Facebook, is that the boy was anencephaletic, a rare defect involving being born without parts of his brain and skull, and lived only eight hours. So Facebook banned the photos, because the boy's appearance was not normal and, well, is that it? Because they allow pictures of people with other conditions, right? Why not? How could the Facebook-bots single this one baby out for banning? It turns out that Facebook's own standards, as listed in the terms of use, don't include anything that would cover a baby with birth defects, so... why? (WMC-TV/Memphis)
