A Massachusetts court has ruled that "under God" in the Pledge of Allegiance isn't a religious thing and therefore is okay in schools. The court says that the Pledge is a voluntary exercise and can be opted out from, and that's true. Also, let's face it, kids don't pay any attention to the words. Seriously, and I say this from personal experience, nobody actually SAYS the Pledge. Everyone murmurs it to get it over with. "I pledgelegiance to thuh flagof Unidedstaymerica. Antoo thurepublic forwhichistan, wonation unnergod, ivisible, wilitity, anjust is frall." (WFXT-TV/Boston; Thanks to Jeff Katz at WXKS (Talk 1200)/Boston for the link)
