Call Them The New York Thunder of oklahoma city
-
The question about the NBA Finals is whether the Oklahoma City Thunder can attract a national TV audience. That's because, despite being very, very good and entertaining to boot, with superstars Kevin Durant and Russell Westbrook and an exciting, highlight-rich style, they ARE, after all, Oklahoma City. Smaller market. Can a team not from a marquee market like New York, Los Angeles, Chicago, or Boston draw an audience? Even Miami, with LeBron, Wade, and Bosh, doesn't really draw what the Lakers can do on TV. And San Antonio (with, admittedly, a more methodical, old-fashioned game plan) never really draws big ratings. (New York Times)
