And If He's Better Than You Are, The Question's Moot
-
For Father's Day, here's a question: Is it ever, ever proper for a child to beat his or her father at sports? At some point, many kids become better at sports than their dads. When that happens, is it proper to let Dad win? On Father's Day, sure, but on other days? I'd say you hold back enough to keep it competitive and fun, but not so much that you're actually throwing the game. You don't want to humiliate him; it's best when it's close, but either guy can win. (Wall Street Journal)
