The Tourism Board Has Its Worth Cut Out For It
-
It's tragic enough that two sisters from Québec were found dead in a Thai hotel room, but it seems like that particular area has a problem. It turns out that there have been previous incidents involving tourist deaths under suspicious circumstances. And in each case, the victim was a woman and the suspicion was that she was poisoned. You would think that the word would've gotten out by now. (CBC) UPDATE: Thai officials are claiming that they don't think it was murder, although the signs seem to point to something other than suicide or natural death. Either there was poison in the room or someone poisoned them, right? That would stand to reason? But the locals don't want you to think that there's a problem, lest you cancel your vacation there.
