They'll Intercept Pepsi Trucks At The City Limits

The thing about the stories all over the media this week about Cambridge, MA considering a ban on large-sized sodas like the one in New York is that the actual order considered by the city doesn't say that. It says this: "That the City Manager be and hereby is requested to refer the matter of a ban on soda and sugar-sweetened beverages in restaurants to the Cambridge Public Health Department for a recommendation." A "ban" in restaurants, period. Either way, the war on soda continues. And, let's face it, it's not good for you -- swearing off soda is a major aid to losing weight -- but should the government be making that choice for you?
