This article about the Los Angeles Dodgers-Los Angeles Angels of Greater Anaheim-Santa Ana-Garden Grove and the Freeway Series this weekend raises a question most fans might not think about: do the players care about these local "rivalries"? You can assume that things like the Yankees-Red Sox do matter only because they're always battling each other in the pennant race, but when it comes to these interleague "bragging rights" things like Yankees-Mets, Dodgers-Angels, Giants-A's, and Cubs-Sox, the players really don't care any more than any other series.
