Recovery? Well, They'll Nip THAT In The Bud
-
Is the Nevada Tax Commission insane? They've voted to tax comped and employee food and drink. In Vegas, comped meals are a business expense for casinos and restaurants, given out to guests and workers to help juice business and keep things rolling. Taxing it penalizes businesses for doing the smart business thing, and they can't very well pass it along to the guests, so they'll just be able to give out fewer comps. And that'll impact business, which will impact jobs, which Vegas can't afford to lose. Besides, who's gonna track all of it? This makes NO sense.
